The Berlin Wall was built in 1961 between parts of East and West Germany and dividing the city of Berlin into East and West. The wall became a political symbol of the cold war between the United States and Soviet Bloc nations. The wall was finally torn down in 1989 leading to a once again unified Germany."

admin writes, "Cruising Main StreetCruising Main Street and lower downtown Longmont has been a tradition of young people in our community and many other front range towns for years. The Longmont Police Department has proposed a new ban on cruising certain areas of Downtown Longmont (3rd Avenue to 9th on Kimbark and Coffman Streets) and all of Main Street with fines starting at $125 per ticket and increasing with follow up violations.

admin writes, "Transportation Fee for Bus StudentsThe St. Vrain Valley School District and the Board of Education is set to impose and implement a new fee for students that ride the bus to school. Based on a recommendation by their transportation task force, St. Vrain Valley Schools will propose and likely implement a new fee based structure to increase revenues for the district. The fees will not necessarily pay all of the cost of bus transportation of our students, but will add much needed revenue to the general fund for all academic programs.
