August 12, 2006 Roosevelt Park Public Tasting starts at Noon Do you cook the best Chili?  How about a fantastic Green Chili?  Do your Hot Wings get rave reviews?  Are you interested in some last minute points for the 40th Annual Terlingua International?  Well here's your opportunity to strut your stuff and stir your pot.  The 3rd Annual Mountain States Chili Cookoff is just around the corner on August 12th.  We are looking forward to an exciting cookoff filled with wild slicing and dicing, simmering pots, colorful booths, wacky cooks, and the quality judging that has made our cookoff a perennial favorite. This year, in addition to our favorite Red Chili, Green Chili, and Wing categories, we have added Jambalaya.  Anything goes here, make this one at home and bring it with you.  We want to see dishes that range from a slow simmer to a fiery eruption. Last but certainly not least, The Colorado Junior Chili Cookoff! Young culinary geniuses try their hand at perfecting that old familiar standby--Texas Red. All net proceeds are donated to Artwalk of Longmont.
